At the moment I am still a broke and struggeling student at the age of 25. Nevertheless, I am filled with ideas and energy! So, hopefully you will see my name on one of these books in your local library or book shop someday 😀 A girl can dream…. and I will definitely achieve this dream – just wait and see.
Meanwhile, how about joining me on this ride? I’ll blog about my daily life as well as share my university knowledge with you as I’m majoring in English Literature (currently doing my master’s). To give you my two cents on top of that, I’ll be happy to voice my opinion on books, movies and more in form of reviews!
Who is my favourite author/writer?
Actually, I don’t think I have one. When I was younger I tended to skip over the authors’ names and only be interested in the cover art and title. If a book was good it was good – the writer was unimportant. Way too late have I learned to appreciate the person behind the work.
How do I like to spend my time?
While I enjoy reading from time to time (and you would expect a literature student to be reading all the time), I much rather listen to music or watch movies. Since my major requieres me to read an enormous amount of papers and texts every week, I simply do not have the urge to read for fun as much as I used to. Also, I believe some movies and tv shows to be extraordinarily well written! Hence, I often convince myself that my time on the couch is nothing but research as an aspiring author.
If the whole world were to catch fire and I could only save three books, which three would those be?
This one is hard because I tend to favour series. Actually, I don’t even recall reading that many standalones when I was younger. Here’s my top 3 anyhow:
- Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones
- Warriors: Into the Wild by Erin Hunter (only read the first four series though)
- Gregor the Overlander by Suzanne Collins (another series, way too underrated in my opinion!)
I’ll definitely edit the list over time… But for now, how about telling me which three books you would save?
